As mentioned in a previous posting, I've been searching for non-traditional holiday music. I've gathered several selections and have called off the search for this year. I'll call this list: "Favorite Holiday Music of 2005." All the songs are related, one way or another, to the holidays. I picked them mostly for the music so any themes in the lyrics are purely coincidental. Here goes, in alphabetical order:
All I Want for Christmas (Mariah Carey)
Baby It's Cold Outside (Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Jordan)
Believe (Josh Groban)
Christmas All Over Again (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)
Christmas in the Northwest (Brenda Kutz White)
Do They Know it's Christmas? (Band Aid)
Feliz Navidad (Jose Feliciano)
Happy Xmas - War is Over (John Lennon)
Hard Candy Christmas (Dolly Parton)
Holiday Inn (Bryan White)
Last Christmas (Wham!)
Little St. Nick (Beach Boys)
Mele Kalikimaka (Jimmy Buffett)
Merry Christmas, Darling (The Carpenters)
Please Come Home for Christmas (The Eagles)
Same Old Lang Syne (Dan Fogelberg)
Santa Baby (Eartha Kitt)
The Gift (Jim Brickman)
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (Johnny Mathis)
Washington Square (Chris Issak)
We Need a Little Christmas (Angela Lansbury)
Wonderful Christmastime (Paul McCartney)
A few others I might add if I can find them soon:
Christmas is All Around (Billy Mack)
Step Into Christmas (Elton John)
You Make it Feel Like Christmas (Neil Diamond)
I think it would be fun to have "Santa Super Sled" (from the movie "About a Boy"). Anyone know where to find it on CD? It doesn't look like it's on the soundtrack from the movie.
